The Project Manager will ensure that projects are executed in a manner to maximize efficiency and effectiveness, support strategic objectives across the entire Company, and achieve the desired project deliverables and outcomes, while simultaneously minimizing risk. This role is pivotal in bridging the gap between executive expectations and operational execution and provides direct execution support for our overall Portfolio Management Office (PMO). The role will also directly manage the execution of several strategic projects as the project leader, in addition to working across the portfolio.

HYBRID/REMOTE: Tyndale supports a strong work-life balance. This opportunity requires onsite work a minimum of 2*_ days a week, and 3 days a week remotely*_. To be considered, candidates must reside within a commutable distance from our Tyndale headquarters in Pipersville, PA (Bucks County) or our location in North Houston, TX for onsite work.

Responsibilities

  • Lead project planning sessions to ensure acceptance and understanding of deliverables among the project team.
  • Ensure business cases are properly developed, with measurable outcomes, in support of project approval.
  • Manage project execution to ensure adherence to budget, schedule, scope and outcomes.
  • Develop or update project plans, including information such as project objectives, technologies, systems, specifications, schedules, deliverables and metrics.
  • Coordinate and optimize the utilization of resources across the PMO.
  • Manage and maintain a project tracking system utilizing automated tools.
  • Monitor and track project milestones and deliverables, and report project status to stakeholders and senior management.
  • Drive accountability for planning, execution, and reporting with project leaders.
  • Support project teams and leaders with identification and resolution of issues and risks.
  • Implement and manage changes when necessary to meet project outputs.
  • Ensure appropriate change management plans are integrated into project execution plans.
  • Evaluate and assess result of project, documenting lessons learned and providing feedback to improve future projects and PMO efforts.
  • Promote and maintain communication between project team members to ensure cohesion and productivity.
  • Develop, continuously improve and adhere to PMO standards and processes.
  • Other project related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Management, or a related field.
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or equivalent required.
  • 5 years of project management experience, preferably in a PMO environment.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodology including Agile and Scrum.
  • Continuous improvement mindset.
  • Proven ability to solve problems creatively.
  • Strong familiarity with project management software tools (Microsoft Suite, Jira, Confluence, etc.) methodologies, and best practices.
  • Excellent analytical skills and an informed, evidence-based approach based in the scientific method.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and extremely resourceful.
  • Ability to manage time efficiently and effectively, meeting deadlines;
  • Excellent verbal, written, and telephonic communication skills;
  • Proven ability to multi-task in fast-paced environment;
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned tasks and projects;
